Ingredients

  • 6 slices California Goldminer® Sourdough Sourdough Square (crumbed)
  • 4 pitted and sliced avocados
  • ½ cup flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sauce:
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

  1. To make breadcrumbs: place California Goldminer® Sourdough bread slices directly on oven rack in preheated 300°F oven for 30 minutes. Crumble slices into food processor and process until fine.
  2. Preheat oven to 450°F and coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a large zip lock bag, add flour and avocado slices and shake to coat.
  4. Whisk together eggs and water in a small bowl. Using a separate bowl, whisk together breadcrumbs, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt.
  5. Dip flour-coated avocado slices into the egg batter before generously coating them in the crumb mixture.
  6. Lay coated avocados individually on the baking sheet and thoroughly coat with spray with cooking spray.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy and browned.
  8. To make dipping sauce: Using a food processor, blend all sauce ingredients together.
  9. Serve fries warm with cool dipping sauce.
