Festive Fall Sourdough Skewers

  • 5 slices California Goldminer® Sourdough Sesame Square Bread
  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup Goat cheese
  • 1-2 pears, sliced
  • Balsamic-Honey Glaze (recipe follows)


Balsamic-Honey Glaze Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 10 Skewers


  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. In a large mixing bowl, combine Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss to coat. 
  2. Transfer Brussels sprouts to a foil-lined baking sheet and roast until crisp (approximately 35-40 minutes).
  3. Lightly toast bread. Spread Goat cheese on each slice and cut into squares.
  4. Build skewers. Pierce a square of Goat cheese-covered toast, one pear slice and one Brussels sprout. Repeat process two more times for each skewer.
  5. Make the Balsamic-Honey Glaze. In a small bowl, whisk balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, salt and pepper until well combined. Drizzle over skewers and enjoy!
